Dozens of members of Congress have warned that the most common method of abortion in America may not just kill unborn babies and harm their mothers, it may also pollute America’s drinking water with forever chemicals that could impact declining fertility levels. Some 25 congressional Republicans signed a letter calling on the Trump administration to determine whether the abortion pill mifepristone has an environmental impact on the U.S. water system.
“[M]ifepristone is a potent progesterone blocker that disrupts hormonal balance in pregnant women to induce abortion. This raises questions about the drug’s potential endocrine-disrupting effects when present in drinking water supplies,” said the letter, led by Senator James Lankford and Rep. Josh Brecheen (both R-Okla.).
“As gross as it sounds, much of our sewage water ends up being filtered” through waste water treatment plants and becomes “drinking water downstream. But that process doesn’t take out everything,” Lankford told “Washington Watch with Tony Perkins” Tuesday.

Brescheen last appeared here for his House resolution that would have condemned a bishop for asking Trump to show compassion to minorities and migrants.
Below, Perkins interviews fellow hate group leader John Stemberger, who once famously vowed that he would die to stop same-sex marriage.
U.S. Rep. Mary Miller (R-IL) baselessly claims that the nation’s water supply “is being severely contaminated” by chemical abortion drugs like mifepristone.
