A House lawmaker is nominating President Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize after he brokered a ceasefire deal between Israel and Iran.
Rep. Buddy Carter, R-Ga., wrote to the Nobel Peace Prize Committee, declaring Trump had an “extraordinary and historic role” in having ended “the armed conflict between Israel and Iran and preventing the world’s largest state sponsor of terrorism from obtaining the most lethal weapon on the planet.”
Trump declared the “12 Day War” was ending late on Monday afternoon with a ceasefire that was meant to go into effect overnight Tuesday.

Carter appeared here in February 2025 for his resolution authorizing Trump to seize Greenland and rename it “Red, White, And Blueland.”
Carter appeared here in January 2025 when he claimed that Biden had allocated $15 million in condoms for the Taliban.
In 2022, he appeared here for telling hate group leader Tony Perkins that pharmacists have the right to refuse to fill prescriptions for abortion pills. Carter is himself a licensed pharmacist.
Carter first appeared on JMG in 2017 when he raged about the Senate blocking a move to repeal Obamacare, saying, “Somebody needs to go over there into that Senate and snatch a knot in their ass.” To which everyone else said, “What does that even mean?”
