From hate group leader Monica Cole:
Dude Wipes offends conservative viewers in its latest commercial, “Best Clean Pants Down.” In this ad, several men are shown pulling down their pants and underwear in various public settings.
During an advertisement, it is never appropriate for someone to remove clothing, especially an undergarment. Even though the men in this Dude Wipes ad are pulling down their pants and underwear from underneath the covering of an untucked shirt, the viewer’s mental image consists of males undressing and removing their pants and underwear.
Not to mention the paint splatter used later in the ad grossly mimics another situation needing Dude Wipes.
This type of advertising assumes that crudeness is comical. One Million Moms finds this advertisement highly inappropriate. Yet, Dude Wipes has deliberately produced controversial advertisements instead of wholesome ones.
What’s worse, these advertisements air during prime time when families are most likely to be watching. Dude Wipes should be more responsible in its marketing decisions.
Let them know that, as a parent and consumer, you are disappointed by the company’s recent marketing choices.
From the petition:
I am highly offended by the irresponsible Dude Wipes marketing campaign in which men pull down their pants and underwear. It is never appropriate for someone to remove an undergarment during an advertisement. Everyone knows this creates an inappropriate mental image. Dude Wipes is a household name and should be more responsible in its marketing decisions. I urge Dude Wipes to cancel this commercial immediately. Until you clean up your ads, I cannot purchase your products in good conscience.
Dude Wipes is a “household name”?
