New York City radio station 1010 WINS reports:
Former U.S. Rep. George Santos will seek a pardon from President Donald Trump after he was sentenced last week to more than seven years in prison for wire fraud and identity theft. Santos’ lead attorney, Joseph W. Murray, told 1010 WINS he is preparing to submit a request for a pardon to Trump.
“We look forward to presenting our case to the president,” Murray said. “I think when they hear the evidence, the president is going to look favorably on this.”
Murray said he believes the charges brought against Santos—a Trump-supporting Republican—were politically charged under the Justice Department of former President Joe Biden. “To incarcerate him now I think is ridiculous,” Murray said. “I believe he has suffered enough.”

Before his sentencing last week, Santos told the New York Times that he would not seek a pardon, claiming that he would “take his medicine.”
But the following day a federal judge sentenced him to the full 87 months sought by prosecutors.
Yesterday Santos posted a claim that he will leave the US forever after his release from prison.
Also yesterday Santos moaned to Long Island’s South Shore Press about the “soul-crushing realization” that he would be in his mid-40s by the time he leaves prison.
He then goes on to boast that many people are currently in prison due to bills that he co-sponsored. Video below.
