“Look, I have literally been hired by Donald Trump four times. OK? Four times the president has hired me on different occasions to work for him, to do vetting and to do research. And for some reason, I am not working in the White House or working for the president of the United States despite his directives to his staff to hire me because, well, his staff do not listen to him. His staff defy his authority.
“And so, it really brings into question the power of the executive, and who has the power of the executive. If the president of the United States can make a decision and that decision is not respected because his staff have more authority — and I’m not saying that, you know, Donald Trump doesn’t have power, but, you know, if the president gives an order for something to happen, that should happen.
“And it really just makes you wonder, if his staff are undermining his directives as it relates to personnel choices, what else are they undermining him with in the administration? And what does that mean about the power of the executive? Right? Does he really have ultimate power?” – Laura Loomer, who even though she doesn’t work directly for Trump, has engineered the firing of multiple officials, including Mike Waltz.
