Kennedy: CDC Will No Longer Recommend COVID Vaxxes For “Healthy Children And Pregnant Women”

Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. announced on Tuesday that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention will no longer recommend routine Covid shots for healthy children and pregnant women. Kennedy said the vaccine would no longer be recommended for “healthy pregnant women,” but it was unclear who would qualify as pregnancy itself is considered a risk factor for Covid complications.

The change from the CDC comes a week after Food and Drug Administration Commissioner Dr. Marty Makary announced the agency planned to restrict the use of Covid shots to older adults and kids and adults with underlying medical conditions. New Covid shots for healthy kids and adults will need to go through lengthy placebo-controlled clinical trials before they can get approved.
