Britney Spears is speaking out after making headlines for lighting a cigarette during a recent flight.
On Thursday (May 22), the 43-year-old pop star lit a cigarette aboard a JSX public charter flight and was asked to extinguish it by a flight attendant, according to People. Smoking on airplanes is a violation of federal aviation regulations. Following the incident, authorities reportedly issued Spears a warning regarding her conduct at the airport after the flight.
The “Toxic” singer was reportedly traveling with her security team from Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, to Los Angeles. The following day, Spears addressed the incident on Instagram, sharing her version of the story.
