Amarillo’s ABC affiliate reports:
A former Amarillo and Canyon teacher, accused of child sex crimes, was arrested for a sixth time. Patrick Kenneth Farmer, 57, was arrested Wednesday on a charge of indecency with a child sexual contact. According to the criminal complaint, Farmer touched the genitals of a girl under the age of 17. Farmer was arrested September 11, 2024 for indecency with a child sexual contact. That case is still pending.
In 2006, Farmer pleaded guilty in Randall County to four counts of indecency with a child sexual contact and was sentenced to six years probation. In 2009, a civil lawsuit against Paramount Baptist Church, where Farmer worked from 1995-2004, was settled. The lawsuit claimed Farmer, a child care worker, was inappropriate around children, and that complaints about Farmer’s behavior were ignored.
