FL Advances Bill By Tongues-Speaking “Exorcist” Rep Forcing Schools To Prominently Post “In God We Trust”

Florida Politics reports:

A bill placing “In God We Trust” language on school campuses is heading to the House floor.

The Education and Employment Committee advanced the bill (HB 1009). If it passes, the slogan must be in “clearly visible location and public area of the school which is readily accessible to and widely used by students and in a clearly visible location and public area of each building used by the district school board.”

Rep. Kim Daniels, a Democratic preacher from Jacksonville who has championed the display of Florida’s theistic state motto, noted that it’s on our “flag and our money” during her presentation of the bill. Republican Rep. Kiyan Michael, also from Duval County, lauded Daniels’ “strength and courage for bringing the bill forward.”

A similar bill authored by Daniels was approved in 2018, but apparently school boards haven’t posted the placards prominently enough to suit Republicans.

Daniels, a self-proclaimed “tongues-speaking exorcist,” has appeared here many times for her anti-LGBTQ bills and tirades.

She first appeared on JMG when she declared that children’s dolls are sometimes possessed by demons.

Prior to her election as a state rep, Daniels led the campaign to defeat Jacksonville’s LGBTQ rights ordinance.

In 2019, she authored an ultimately failed bill to force Florida schools to offer separate elective courses on the Old and New Testaments.

Daniels, who claims the title of “apostle,” earned national attention in 2023 when an old video was surfaced in which she declared, “I thank God for slavery.”
