Phoenix’s CBS affiliate reports:
A U.S. Border Patrol agent who lives in the East Valley is accused of downloading and sharing child pornography, according to newly obtained court documents. Court records identified him as 40-year-old Jason Michael Drown. Federal authorities used peer-to-peer software to download potential illegal images and identify the devices sharing them. According to investigators, one of those torrent files was downloaded from a device linked to Drown’s home.
Drown was booked into the Maricopa County jail on 10 felony charges of sexual exploitation of a minor. He was held on a $150,000 bond. “CBP stresses honor and integrity in every aspect of our mission, and the overwhelming majority of CBP employees and officers perform their duties with honor and distinction, working tirelessly every day to keep our country safe,” the department wrote in part. “An arrest is merely an allegation.”
