Albuquerque’s CBS affiliate reports:
The New Mexico Department of Health confirmed a Lea County resident who died tested positive for measles after their death. The official cause of death is under investigation by the New Mexico Office of the Medical Investigator. NMDOH said the person was unvaccinated and did not seek medical care before their death. Ten cases of measles have been confirmed in Lea County. Seven cases were people who were unvaccinated. According to NMDOH, the other three have an unknown vaccination history.

Terrible news from New Mexico, an unvaccinated adult who recently died has tested positive for measles. They did not seek healthcare before their death.
These cases in New Mexico are believed to be linked to the outbreak in West Texas.
