Politico reports:
Rep. Cory Mills, a Florida Republican, allegedly held weapons contracts with the federal government while serving in Congress, according to a report from the Office of Congressional Conduct, the nonpartisan entity tasked with receiving and reviewing ethics complaints against sitting House members.
The Office of Congressional Conduct — up until recently known as the Office of Congressional Ethics — found “substantial reason to believe that Rep. Mills may have entered into, held, or enjoyed contracts with federal agencies while serving in Congress.”
Since that time, “Pacem Defense/ALS” — the name of two entities tied to Mills and his wife — has received nearly $1,000,000 for munition and weapons for prisons, the report found. The report also found some evidence that Mills may have “omitted or misrepresented” information on his financial disclosure forms, and his campaign may have accepted excessive contributions.

Last month Trump DOJ official Ed Martin refused to issue an arrest warrant after Mills was accused of assaulting a woman (who is not his current wife) at his DC home.
In January, Mills announced his intent to run for Marco Rubio’s former Senate seat in 2026.
Mills first appeared on JMG in May 2022 when he threatened to attack journalists with the same tear gas that was used against Black Lives Matter protesters.
Mills’ company makes that tear gas as well as well as hand grenades, inert versions of which he handed out to House reps last year.
In 2023, Fox amplified Mills’ false claim that a Gold Star family was forced to pay $60,000 to retrieve their soldier son’s remains from Afghanistan. Fox then ignored pleas from the Marine Corps to retract their story.
