Florence, South Carolina’s ABC affiliate reports:
Florence County Magistrate, Jerry F. Rivers is presiding over a bond hearing Tuesday morning for four employees at a private school after being arrested on Monday in connection with allegations of child abuse, according to the Florence County Sheriff’s Office. Laurin B. Boyce, 73, was charged with two counts of unlawful conduct toward a child, assault and battery, and aggravated and second-degree assault and battery.
Jessica Anngeline Elmore, 33, was charged with two counts of failing to report child abuse and neglect. Dawn Denise Kirven, 42, was charged with failing to report child abuse and neglect, and criminal conspiracy. Lee B. Patrick, 54, was charged with failing to report child abuse and neglect, and criminal conspiracy. All arrested worked at Maranatha Christian School on W. Palmetto St. in Florence, according to Florence County Sheriff T. J. Joye.
