The Indianapolis Star reports:
“I’m gunning you down.” “You’re on my hit list.” “We will gut you.” These threats aimed at billionaire and President Donald Trump’s advisor Elon Musk on the social media platform he owns were revealed in charging documents against the Southern Indiana man police say posted them to X.
David Allen June Cherry, 28, landed behind bars after allegedly typing these words behind a screen. In a probable cause for his arrest, Cherry explained to Indiana State Police that he was trying to get attention, and he did not intend to carry out any of the threats.
Cherry told police he made the posts online trying to be “edgy” and get a reaction out of people when they took him into custody at his job. Cherry also said that he runs an online business called Red Pawn Dynamics where he sells T-shirts, patches, and armor plate carriers that include antigovernment themes.
