Boise’s ABC affiliate reports:
A co-owner of a Boise mental health clinic serving children and teens, who previously ran for the Idaho State Legislature as a Republican, was arrested Wednesday on multiple felony charges involving alleged sexual abuse of minors. Ryan D. Jenks, 45, was charged with three felony counts: lewd conduct with a child under 16 and two counts of sexual abuse of a minor under 16 years of age.
Jenks, who is also a Nampa attorney, ran as the Republican candidate for the Idaho House of Representatives in 2014, losing to incumbent Democrat Ilana Rubel in the general election. He also gained public attention in 2020 when he spoke at the “Disobey Idaho” protest at the State Capitol, where hundreds gathered to protest Governor Brad Little’s COVID-19 stay-home order.
