Quislings Hail Trump’s “Pro-LGBT” Cabinet Nominees

“President Trump’s strong-willed, experienced, and talented nominees reflect not just his bold agenda, but the political diversity of the coalition that elected him. Like Trump himself, none of them are wallflowers; they are all coming to Washington energized and on a no-fail mission to put power back in the hands of the people.

“It’s also the youngest, most modern & pro-LGBT Republican presidential cabinet in history, with LGBT Americans and allies elevated to the highest levels of leadership like never before seen in a Republican Administration.

“Contrary to what you hear from liberal activists and the media, it’s yet another sign of President Trump’s love and respect for LGBT Americans and his intentions to continue protecting our community.” – Former Log Cabin Republicans president Charles Moran, writing for Townhall.

As all of you here surely know, many of Trump’s Cabinet nominees have espoused (and shared on social media) the most foul attacks imaginable against LGBTQ people, including that we are inherent child molesters.

Pam Bondi, as attorney general of Florida, filed countless lawsuits against LGBTQ rights and, most notably, against same-sex marriage.

Pete Hegseth, has opposed transgender service members and has said that the repeal of “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” was “woke Marxism.” (He retreated on this position at yesterday’s hearing.)

Robert F. Kennedy, slated to lead the Department of Health and Human Services,  has claimed that AIDS is caused by not by HIV but by poppers and that homosexuality is caused by poisons in the environment.

Transportation nominee Sean Duffy is a former host for Fox News, where he amplified ridiculous fake news about the LGBTQ community.

Tulsi Gabbard, Trump’s pick for National Intelligence Advisor, belongs to a bizarre religious sect that has shared foul claims about our community.

And then of course there’s Trump’s budget nominee and Project 2025 architect Russell Vought, who with the Heritage Foundation has fought ardently against every LGBTQ civil rights issue.

Virtually all of those cited above have headlined events held by anti-LGBTQ hate groups such as Moms For Liberty and the Family Research Council.
