Axios reports:
President-elect Trump sent shockwaves through Capitol Hill on Friday by announcing that his inaugural ceremonies will take place indoors, leaving members of Congress guessing about their plans. Monday’s proceedings will now take place in the Capitol rotunda — an extremely limited space — meaning many lawmakers will likely not be able to attend.
When Ronald Reagan was inaugurated in the rotunda in 1985, only 96 people were invited, according to contemporaneous reports. That’s significantly fewer than the 435 House members and 100 senators — not to mention Trump’s family members, Cabinet and staff appointees, Supreme Court justices and other invited VIPs.
Rep. Troy Nehls (R-Texas) acknowledged he will likely not be in the rotunda but may be at the arena, telling Axios: “I have 46 guests attending the Inauguration and I will remain with them throughout.”

Now that Trump’s inauguration ceremony is moving indoors — since he’s afraid of freezing temperatures — thousands of MAGA cultists who booked flights and hotel rooms so they could worship their Dear Leader in person are out of luck.
Boo fucking hoo.

Some acknowledge they won’t be able to be in the rotunda — a relief to some Democrats. https://t.co/cvbKkQkSoH

“The change will deprive Trump of the chance to draw a big crowd on the National Mall to see him sworn in — no doubt something of a disappointment for a man who is obsessed with crowd sizes.”https://t.co/IPuyDSM0MP
