Flight Evacuated After Engine Fire And Aborted Takeoff

Atlanta’s Fox affiliate reports:

Four people have been injured after a Delta flight was evacuated at the Atlanta airport on Friday morning. Officials say the flight from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta Airport to Minneapolis-St. Paul aborted takeoff shortly after 9 a.m. on Friday due to an engine problem.

According to a post from the Atlanta airport’s X page, passengers deplaned from the Boeing 757-300 aircraft using emergency slides and were taken to a nearby concourse. A ground stop at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport has been extended until 2 p.m.
