Florida Politics reports:
Gov. Ron DeSantis is fueling the civil war between his executive office and the legislative branch, and he may be benefiting from friendly air cover as he makes less-than-friendly points about Senate President Ben Albritton and House Speaker Daniel Perez. The Governor spoke to Mark Levin and Sean Hannity about his gripes with the GOP supermajority that scuttled his Special Session agenda, gaveled out, and introduced their own product — ironically called the TRUMP Act.
DeSantis addressed “RINOs,” as Levin called them, with the host singling out Perez of Miami as an example. He said the legislative product “gutted all the enforcement provisions” DeSantis’ allies’ bills contemplated. “This is really the SWAMP act,” DeSantis disparaged. DeSantis said the bill “takes away the Governor’s authority” and says the Department of Agriculture “is not known for immigration enforcement.”
Read the full article. This is far from over, but as I said here last week, it looks like Florida’s Republican leaders are listening to the agriculture, hospitality, and construction industries. Among DeSantis’s demands is a law compelling local police to take part in deportation raids.
This is f*cking hilarious. Desantis is melting down after his Republican House Speaker and Senate President slapped him down today and took away his ability to appoint a state deportation czar and gave it to the Ag Commissioner, who he doesn’t especially like. pic.twitter.com/zEbUGUo78b

News: The Florida Legislature is bucking Gov. Ron DeSantis’ call for a special session.
They gaveled in and gaveled out — essentially killing all of the previously filed bills.
The Senate and House now will launch their own special session, pushing their own immigration… pic.twitter.com/g5Jq54IoJY
