Man Charged With Shooting At TN Hate Pastor’s Home

The Tennessean reports:

Police have arrested a suspect in connection to dozens of gunshots reportedly fired at Global Vision Bible Church Pastor Greg Locke’s home, garage and vehicle at the time late night on Sept. 3 in western Wilson County.

Tyler Poole, 20, of Hermitage, is charged with aggravated assault, four counts of reckless endangerment with a deadly weapon, and two counts of vandalism, all stemming from the shooting in the 1700 block of Chandler Road, according to the Wilson County Sheriff’s Office.

Poole is being held at the Wilson County Jail on a $50,000 bond, police stated on Wednesday. There were no injuries reported at the time of the shooting.

Nashville’s NBC affiliate reports:

The Wilson County Sheriff’s Office said Locke’s son was home at the time but was not injured. The WCSO confirmed Locke’s home was hit by between 30-50 bullets during the shooting. Damage was found to the exterior of the home, to the vehicles parked outside, and some damage inside the home.

Locke said he thinks he just missed encountering whoever shot up his home by mere minutes based on his security footage at his property.

His church just recently relocated to Lebanon from its Mt. Juliet location. The church has been the target of vandalism and widespread criticism in recent years over hard stances taken by Locke and his congregation on social issues and associated political campaigns.

Locke appeared here last month when he reneged on his promise to refund tithes to congregants unhappy with his preaching.

From our earlier reports…..

In April 2024, Locke claimed someone left a trailer full of burning bibles outside his church.

Locke appeared here in February 2024 when he declared that people in wheelchairs lack faith in God.

A regular speaker at QAnon conferences, he earned national ridicule in 2022 when he complained that he was getting dildos in the mail after “exposing” six witches among his congregation.

As you may recall, a gay couple shouting “hail Satan” crashed Locke’s book burning in February 2022 and claimed to have thrown a bible onto the bonfire.

Locke was banned by Twitter back in 2021 but he’s since returned with Elon Musk’s approval.

He first appeared on JMG in 2020 when he threatened to kick in the teeth of a teen Dunkin’ Donuts employee for asking him to wear a mask in the store.

Shortly afterwards, Christian sites reported that Locke had been cheating on his wife with a much younger church secretary. He and his wife then divorced and he married his mistress.
