Mediaite reports:
Congressman-elect Brandon Gill (R-TX) on Sunday opened his remarks at the New York Young Republican Club annual gala with praise for Daniel Penny, who was found not guilty last week in the death of Jordan Neely on the New York subway. America needs “a lot more Daniel Pennys,” he said to the crowd of Young Republicans, elected officials, and MAGA media figures, “because we have far too many Jordan Neelys.” Gill was elected in November to Texas’s 26th congressional district and will take his seat in D.C. in January. He is married to Danielle D’Souza, making conservative media figure Dinesh D’Souza his father-in-law. Gill opened his remarks at the gala by referring to Penny as a “great patriot.”

Brandon Gill, a wealthy former hedge fund banker who has never before held elected office, is the founder of the far-right DC Enquirer and collaborated with Dinesh D’Souza on his widely-debunked and recently apologized for “2000 Mules” movie. Gill also produced D’Souza’s recent “Police State” film. His wife is a Women For Trump board member and hosts a show for the far-right Chinese cult-funded Epoch Times. In January 2024, failed US Senate candidate Mark McCloskey and his wife brandished assault weapons in their endorsement of Gill.
