Michigan Live reports:
A Washtenaw County youth pastor already facing life in prison has been arraigned on nearly two dozen additional felony charges, including more counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct.
Zachary Joseph Radcliff, 29, has been charged with a total of 33 felonies after he was arraigned on 22 new charges Nov. 26 before 14A-1 District Court Judge J. Cedric Simpson.
Radcliff is additionally accused of eight counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct, six counts of aggravated child sexually abusive activity, six counts of child sexually abusive activity and two charges of using the internet to communicate with another to commit a crime.
From my first report in October 2024:
The 29-year-old performed his song “I’ll Stand” at the Conservative Political Action Conference in 2019, according to a release from Liberty University, Radcliff’s alma mater. He attended the Virginia school from 2013 to 2017, according to the university.
Newsweek reports:
Oakwood Church, where Radcliff worked as both a music and youth director, expressed shock and heartbreak over the allegations in a public statement.
The church wrote that Radcliff, who is also the son of the senior pastor, was first suspended with pay on October 3. After further investigation, he was fired on October 12.
“The information we received was shocking,” the church wrote. “This information has ripped our hearts apart. The safety and protection of the individuals in our church is what is paramount to us.”
When Radcliff’s arrest was first reported, commenters were pouring into his Facebook page with accusations of coverup by his church. CPAC has deleted his performance video from their website and from their YouTube channel. They have also deleted their press release heralding his appearance. Last month local police said there may be over a dozen victims. Above, note Jerry Falwell Jr.’s adoring gaze.
