The Pensacola News-Journal reports:
AccuWeather predicts that Hurricane Sara could form as early as Friday morning, shortly after it becomes a tropical storm. From there, it’s expected to take less than 24 hours for the storm to become a major hurricane. Where could Hurricane Sara ultimately end up? Florida, of course.
Sara will likely be a major Category 3 hurricane by Saturday evening. The storm’s path will make its first major shift as it starts to take a major turn toward northwestward. Northeastern Nicaragua and eastern Honduras will see heavy downpours, with a swath of 8-12 inches.
Hurricane Sara will still be a major hurricane Tuesday evening as it moves into the south Gulf of Mexico and starts to hook toward south Florida. Sara could make landfall in South Florida by 7 p.m. Wednesday.
