CNN Analyst Suggests Sotomayor Should Retire Before Trump Takes Office So Biden Can Then Nominate Harris

CNN anchor John Berman was stunned by a bombshell suggestion from analyst Bakari Sellers — that President Joe Biden should rush through the nomination and confirmation of Vice President Kamala Harris to the Supreme Court.

Politico Playbook led Friday morning with a piece on the chatter among Democrats to encourage Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor to retire and push through a replacement in order to avoid the risk of giving Trump a replacement pick for a liberal justice.

On Friday’s edition of CNN News Central, Berman and Republican CNN analyst Shermichael Singleton were stunned — and Singleton was amused — by the provocative idea from Sellers to elevate Harris before Trump and the Republicans can stop it.
