Massive Security For Today’s Trump Rally In NYC

The New York City Police Department is stepping up security outside Madison Square Garden ahead of former President Donald Trump’s campaign rally today. Trump is set to take the stage at 5 p.m. Anyone who does not need to be in the area is encouraged to avoid it.

The rally is expected to draw thousands. Trump supporters started camping out Saturday, some coming prepared with sleeping bags. “You will see a uniformed, heavy uniformed presence around the Garden. You’ll see heavy weapons teams, counterterrorism, aviation, transit footprint on Seventh Avenue,” NYPD Chief of Patrol John Chell said.

The city is anticipating protesters, but the mayor says the NYPD is ready to respond. “While we always respect and protect the right to peaceful protests, there will be zero tolerance for crime, blocking traffic, graffiti or disorderly behavior,” Adams said.

A clown car of crackpot cultists will be in attendance today, including Mike Johnson, Rudy Giuliani, Elon Musk, Lara Trump, Eric Trump, Voldemort, Junior, Eric Trump, Tucker Carlson, Dan Scavino, Tulsi Gabbard, Robert Kennedy Jr., and the founder of Moms For Christian Threeways.

The NYPD will pen up protest groups at least two blocks from the venue and streets surrounding the Garden will be closed. The MTA and NJ Transit have warned that overcrowding on platforms may force delays or skipping of stops at Penn Station. Every three-letter federal agency is doing surveillance.

The second video below was streamed live early this morning and shows thousands of cultists milling around outside the venue. Of note, Trump lost NYC by 54 points in 2020, taking only 22% of the vote – the majority of which came from Staten Island.
