Axios reports:
Former President Donald Trump said in an interview aired Sunday that he doesn’t think he will run again in 2028 if he loses the presidency in November. Trump has been the face of the Republican Party for the past three election cycles.
No, I don’t. I think … that will be it. I don’t see that at all,” the GOP nominee said on “Full Measure” with Sharyl Attkisson when asked whether he saw himself running again in four years if he’s unsuccessful in 2024. He added, “Hopefully, we’re gonna be successful.”
“It would have been easier if I did it … contiguous,” he said of launching his 2024 bid after losing the 2020 race to President Biden.
