Mediaite reports:
The document in question was an alleged affidavit originally featured on a questionable-looking website called “County Local News,” which Newsguard describes as an “unreliable” and “AI-generated content farm” that peddles in “misinformation,” and shared by an account called “Black Insurrectionist – I FOLLOW BACK TRUE PATRIOTS.”
The “affidavit,” which is riddled with typos, includes several outlandish claims, including the allegation that ABC agreed to a condition of the Harris campaign that it not ask any questions “regarding the perceived health of President Joe Biden.”
None of these issues stopped the right-wing fringe from jumping all over this story and sharing the “affidavit,” including Harvard Law-educated lawyer Sen. Ted Cruz, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, Chaya Raichik/LibsofTikTok, Benny Johnson, billionaire Bill Ackman, and Elon Musk.
Media Matters reports:
A casual review of recent activity from the “Black Insurrectionist” account — which has posted to X more than 32,700 times over the 10 months since its November 2023 launch — reveals a strong tendency for unhinged, conspiracy-minded, and violent pro-Trump rants.
One August post describes Vice President Kamala Harris and Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz as “disgusting creatures” and their supporters as “the delightful cesspool of humanity we are fighting here today” who may be “just plain flat out disgusting pedophiles.”
Other posts detail the need for “70 million people to do mass civil disobedience that will halt this country” to prevent Harris from winning, perhaps via a mass withdrawal of cash from banks aimed at damaging the economy unless “the government just does what we want.”
The tweets from the morons listed above already collectively have millions of views.

If this is accurate—and I do not know that it is—it would constitute one of the gravest violations of journalist ethics in presidential debate history.
If true, multiple senior people at @abc should be fired. https://t.co/OV9sG4sQL3

If indeed this turns out to be true, which is looking increasingly likely, consider the character of the presidential candidate that would cheat in a debate, allowing her staff to negotiate the questions in advance, the camera angles, the required fact checking of her opponent,… https://t.co/RrmYoy151N
