The vice presidential debate between Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D) and Sen. JD Vance (R-Ohio) is set for Oct. 1 on CBS. Vance posted Thursday on the social platform X that he had accepted the invitation for the debate after Walz did the same Wednesday night. Vance also indicated he would be willing to do an additional debate in September, though no such arrangement has been publicized. Historically, there has only been one vice presidential debate per election cycle.
