Brother Says “Prophet” Faked His Pro-Trump Visions

The Christian Post reports:

Josiah Johnson, brother to the widely followed self-described prophet Jeremiah Johnson [photo], has publicly accused his sibling of fabricating prophetic visions and messages, particularly those involving former President Donald Trump. In the aftermath of the 2020 election, Jeremiah admitted to inaccurately prophesying Trump’s victory, a confession that led to considerable backlash from his followers, including death threats and a significant loss of support.

“Over the last 72 hours, I have received multiple death threats and thousands upon thousands of emails from Christians saying the nastiest and most vulgar things I have ever heard toward my family and ministry. I have been labeled a coward, sellout, a traitor to the Holy Spirit, and cussed out at least 500 times. We have lost ministry partners every hour and counting,” wrote the leader of Jeremiah Johnson Ministries at the time.

The Washington Post reports:

“What if you found out that your favorite prophet or pastor wasn’t sexually abusing anyone,” Josiah wrote in a draft message to his 5,000 Facebook friends, alluding to other religious reckonings, “but INSTEAD they were completely and totally fabricating their dreams, visions, and prophetic words?”

He didn’t know that Jeremiah — who declined to answer any questions for this story — would strike back to his 328,000 followers on Facebook, writing, “I have chosen silence over the last several months as I have been publicly slandered, threatened, and falsely accused online by my older brother Josiah.”

Jeremiah Johnson first appeared here in August 2015 when he declared that God sent Trump to bring about “the second coming of Jesus.” He last appeared here in April 2024 when he advised that speaking in tongues can ward off attacks by witches.
