The Daily Beast reports:
Former Trump Administration Education Secretary Betsy DeVos told her local newspaper that she would be open to serving in the former president’s cabinet should he win again this November.
The position is a 180-degree turn from the one she staked out on Jan. 7, 2021, the day she resigned from her post in protest following what she called an “unconscionable” attack on the U.S. Capitol building by Donald Trump’s supporters just 24 hours prior.
She then proceeded to say she was open to the idea “only if it was with the goal of phasing out the Department of Education as we tried to do through budgetary process in the first administration.”
