Via press release from Sen. Tommy Tuberville:
Today, U.S. Senator Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) announced a $550 million federal grant for the I-10 Mobile River Bridge and Bayway Project.
Senator Tuberville has been working with the U.S. Department of Transportation to secure this grant through the Bridge Investment Program for south Alabama since being sworn into office in 2021.
“Since I took office, I have been working to secure funding for the Mobile bridge and get this project underway,” said Senator Tuberville. “The I-10 bridge is a critical evacuation route for hurricanes and natural disasters and a key economic driver in south Alabama.”

My Alabama colleagues like @SenTuberville are right—this is a MAJOR win.
It’s a shame he voted against the bill that made it possible.
As Alabama’s only Member of Congress to vote FOR President Biden’s Infrastructure Law, I’m proud to see these funds coming to our state! https://t.co/OSKLim4kFH

Those are someone else’s points, Coach. @SenTuberville “proudly announced the commencement of a bridge project in his home state that was made possible by money from the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, which Tuberville voted against” https://t.co/Um44HJ1mM3
