The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reports:
Vice President Kamala Harris will campaign in the Milwaukee area Tuesday, the first rally of her own presidential campaign, backed by top Wisconsin Democrats, after President Joe Biden exited the race Sunday.
Harris has visited the battleground state four other times this year, and eight times as vice president. But her Tuesday trip has newfound importance: Instead of rallying for Biden’s reelection, she’s now campaigning as the presumptive Democratic nominee.
Her trip to Milwaukee was announced just after the Republican National Convention ended in the same city — but before Biden dropped out and endorsed Harris as his replacement. White House officials confirmed Monday the trip was still on.
