Hate Group Sues To Block New California Law Banning Schools From Outing LGBTQ Students To Their Parents

Cue the lawsuits. The moment California Governor Gavin Newsom (D) signed his name to a ban (AB 1955) on school parental notification policies, he painted a big, red target on its back (a metaphorical, legal target, not a literal one).

The very next day, Liberty Justice Center (LJC) filed a lawsuit on behalf of Chino Valley USD. Chino Valley USD school board president Sonja Shaw called the bill “an egregious attack on parents’ God-given and constitutional rights.”

“This legislation weaponizes the system against those who know and care for their children the most,” Shaw declared. “It is morally corrupt and was enacted to prevent parents from exercising their rights — and to avoid being outsmarted by a school district and parents who challenged them. It’s always been about their ego.”

As you can see below, Ms. Shaw [above right] is quite the nasty anti-LGBTQ extremist.

She first appeared here in September 2023, when she said this to fellow school board members:

“Today we stand here and declare in his almighty name that it’s only a matter of time before we take your seats and we become a God-fearing example to the nation of how God is using California to lead the way. We already know who has won this battle. You will be removed in Jesus’s name! You, Satan, are losing. Get on your knees every night. All day I talk to him. People probably think I’m crazy, but I’m really just talking to God all day. I have looked demons straight in the eye and with God’s authority rebuked them back to hell where they belong. You can do that too, trust me.”

Shaw is backed by infamous far-right California megachurch hate preacher Jack “Terrible Wig” Hibbs.

Earlier this week Elon Musk vowed to move SpaceX and X headquarters to Texas over the new pro-LGBTQ law.
