“The teacher should be able to have an appropriate response, which is to tell them [children], ‘Look guys, this is historical document that’s posted on the wall to remind everyone of good morals, good principles.’
“Thou shalt not kill. Thou shalt not lie. These are important things. I think that in the state of Louisiana we have echoed a strong voice that we believe that faith is an important of the founding of this nation.
“Again, we got it posted in historical building all over the place. I don’t understand that this is such a shock factor to the nation that we would somehow do this!
“I’m proud that in the state of Louisiana we’re leading the charge on this and I’m proud that I pressed the button in favor of that bill.” – Louisiana Rep. Lauren Ventrella, on CNN.
When host Boris Sanchez asked if Ventrella would object to the posting of the “five pillars of Islam” in public school classrooms, Ventrella dodged the question, saying that if you don’t like seeing the Ten Commandments, “don’t look at it.” Then she mocked Sanchez’s salary.
CNN's Boris Sanchez: “What do you say to the parents of students, or even teachers, who don't share your religious views?”

CNN’s Boris Sanchez: “Do you also recognize that the Constitution … doesn’t include the word ‘God,’ or ‘Jesus,’ or ‘Christianity’?”

CNN is big mad over Louisiana requiring schools to display the Ten Commandments in the classroom
“What should a teacher tell a kindergartner, who asks what adultery is?”
Mind you, this is the same network that frequently defends sexually explicit material in school libraries pic.twitter.com/hDvB1VCdJd

Hey @VentrellaLaw: If you don’t like abortions or drag queens, don’t look at them. Just like you said to non-Christian students with the Ten Commandments in Louisiana public schools, right? You’re embarrassing yourself on CNN right now and I can’t wait until you get sued.

Lauren Ventrella, author of Louisiana ten commandments bills in schools, is on CNN and she’s an absolute nut.
— Rex Steele (@ThisIsRexSteele) June 20, 2024
Lauren Ventrella is on CNN looking like an ABSOLUTE MORON. The level of absurdity spewing from her mouth is unfathomable. No wonder Louisiana is so low on the education/school rankings.

The sponsor of Louisiana’s Ten Commandments law just told CNN that if you don’t like it, “don’t look at it.”

CNN’s Boris Sanchez did a great job interviewing a representative from Louisiana who tried to justify the Ten Commandments posted in schools.
Unable to say when the commandments were written or many religious scholars disagree on wording she ended by chastising Borises salary.— roc king

@CNN Kuodos to @Boris_Sanchez for pushing back on Rep Lauren Ventrella from Louisiana on her ridiculing bill to put up the 10 Commandments in schools. She is a clueless DT GQP cult member pushing for a white Christian National country. She was obnoxious!

@VentrellaLaw You showed how stupid you are about the Constitution today on CNN, making personal attacks on the anchor because you can’t defend the facts that there IS separation of church and state. Louisiana, the STUPID state. You represent it well.

Lauren Ventrella is a prime example of why Louisiana is in the bottom tier in everything good in the country. She says if you don’t like the 10 commandments in the classroom, don’t look at it. Why can’t you do that to the pride flag?
