The Tony Awards were handed out Sunday night. The Outsiders was named best musical, while Merrily We Roll Along won the Tony for best revival of a musical. Stereophonic was named best play, while Appropriate won the award for best revival of a play.

Among the other noteworthy winners were Sarah Paulson, Daniel Radcliffe and Jeremy Strong, all of whom took home their first Tonys, and Dede Ayite, who became the first Black woman to win a Tony for best costume design of a play.

The performances at the ceremony included the casts of Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club, Hell’s Kitchen, Illinoise, Merrily We Roll Along, Stereophonic, Suffs, The Outsiders, The Who’s Tommy and Water for Elephants.
