Politico reports:
Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg begins his press conference by thanking the jury and outlining the work they did throughout the trial, including reviewing call logs, text messages, emails and bank statements, in addition to listening to testimony.
“This type of white-collar prosecution is core to what we do at the Manhattan District Attorney’s office,” Bragg says before thanking his team. Bragg stresses that the jurors did not take any outside factors into consideration and that the case proceeded like any other, despite the unique nature of the defendant.
“While this defendant may be like no other in American history, we arrived at this trial and ultimately today at this verdict in the same manner as every other case,” Bragg says. Bragg is deferring all questions on sentencing, including whether he will seek jail time for Trump, until the sentencing hearing scheduled for July 11.
