“Just so everyone knows, especially the young people, Crooked Joe Biden is responsible for banning TikTok. He is the one pushing it to close, and doing it to help his friends over at Facebook become richer and more dominant, and able to continue to fight, perhaps illegally, the Republican Party. It’s called ELECTION INTERFERENCE! Young people, and lots of others, must remember this on November 5th, ELECTION DAY, when they vote! They also must remember, more importantly, that he is destroying our Country, and is A MAJOR THREAT TO DEMOCRACY!” – Trump, pretending that banning TikTok hasn’t been loudly demanded by GOP governors, GOP reps, GOP senators, Libs of TikTok, the Heritage Foundation, and the FRC for at least two years.
Oh, and there was that time in 2020 when he signed an ultimately blocked executive order banning TikTok from app stores. He changed his mind about TikTok last month after meeting with a billionaire GOP megadonor who just happens to hold a $15 billion stake in the app.
“We shouldn’t underestimate [TikTok] as a tool for election [interference.] ByteDance has a vested interest in countless races across this country because their company is on the line.” – @RealJDenton
