Trump Lawyers Force C-Span Archivist To Testify That Clip Of 2016 Rally Speech Seen By Millions Is Authentic

The Meidas Touch reports:

A witness for the prosecution was Robert Browning, who is the custodian of records for the C-Span archives. Normally testimony from a witness like this, who is just here to authenticate a videotape, is not necessary because the defense would stipulate that the video is authentic.

But Trump’s lawyers would not agree to do that so the witness had to fly from Indiana just to say that a video was real. They then asked him no questions on cross-examination.

A video of Trump speaking at his October 2016 rally in North Carolina was then played where he was denied that he knew who any of his women accusers are and said that everything they are saying is untrue. They also played a clip of Trump praising Michael Cohen and saying that he was “a very good lawyer.”

CNN reports:

“As you have seen, right now I’m being viciously attacked with lies and smears. It’s a phony deal. I have no idea who these women are,” Trump says in the first clip they’re playing from October 2016. This was in response to stories of women alleging sexual assault after the “Access Hollywood” tape was released in October 2016. “These are all horrible lies, fabricated,” Trump said in the other video taken in Pennsylvania. “Michael Cohen is a very talented lawyer. He’s a good lawyer in my firm,” was said in the third clip.
