New York state court judge Juan Merchan on Thursday ruled the names, homes and businesses addresses of the jurors in Donald Trump’s upcoming hush-money trial will not be released publicly to prevent tampering.
Prosecutors have demonstrated that Trump “has an extensive history of publicly and repeatedly attacking trial jurors and grand jurors,” the judge wrote in his ruling.
A protective order was necessary because there was “good cause, on the record before it, that there is a likelihood of bribery, jury tampering, or of physical injury or harassment of jurors,” Merchan said.
