Wealthy Florida Scientologist Couple Raises $300,000 With GoFundMe Drive To Pay Trump’s $355M Penalty

Florida Politics reports:

A Miami-Dade County woman is running a GoFundMe page to help former President Donald Trump cover a $355 million civil court judgment. Elena Cardone, an Aventura resident, launched the page Friday to assist Trump in facing an “unprecedented and unfair treatment by certain judicial elements in New York.”

By 3 p.m. Sunday, the page recorded 6,300 donations totaling nearly $290,000. The average donation was $49. The top donation, so far, was $5,000 from someone named Aaron Jones, whom some people are ridiculing on the social media site, Reddit, using a GIF of Forrest Gump.

She and her husband, private equity fund manager and internet celebrity Grant Cardone, co-authored the 2022 book “Build an Empire: How to Have it All.”

From the GoFundMe description:

My name is Elena Cardone and I am a wife of Grant Cardone, mother and an ardent supporter of American values and an advocate for justice, I stand unwaveringly with President Donald Trump in the face of what I see as unprecedented and unfair treatment by certain judicial elements in New York.

The recent legal battles he faces are not just an attack on him, but an attack on the very ideals of fairness and due process that every American deserves.

It’s a moment that calls into question the balance of justice and the application of law, disproportionately aimed at silencing a voice that has been at the forefront of advocating for American strength, prosperity, and security.

Per Twitter user Yashar Ali:

The Cardones have donated over $30 million to Scientology and are among the largest donors to David Miscavige’s war chest which is used, in part, to fund the harassment and surveillance of people like Leah Remini and me. Grant Cardone is one of the most powerful civilian Scientologists. He serves as a henchman for David Miscavige and is one of the few Scientologists with direct access to him.

According to a recent report, Grant Cardone, who has hosted Trump at his real estate seminar, has been sued multiple times by former clients who say they were “trapped into lengthy, inflexible contracts that they were unable to pay for or get out of.” Additionally, the FTC, which is seeking to shut down his company, alleges that his company “helped scammers evade credit card fraud alerts.” Read the full thing if you feel like screaming.
