Raw Story reports:
Republicans in the Arizona House of Representatives have introduced a resolution that would seek to declare former President Donald Trump the winner of the 2024 presidential election — regardless of what the voters decide, reported KPNX’s Brahm Resnik. The resolution would not carry any force of law because it is not a bill, noted Resnik. It is in response to rulings in Colorado and Maine disqualifying the former president from the ballot under the Insurrection Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment. It will be reviewed by the House Election Committee Wednesday.

ALERT For some Republicans at AZ Capitol, it’s still Jan. 6, 2021. #HCR2055 would let GOP-controlled Legislature hand election to Trump, damn the voters. Just a resolution, so no force of law. On House Elex Committee agenda at 2 pm Weds. https://t.co/Wi0O9oB4xg pic.twitter.com/6WICdJe3pL
