The Messenger reports:
The New York Court of Appeals has shot down an appeal from Donald Trump against a gag order issued in his civil fraud trial.
“On the Court’s own motion, appeal dismissed, without costs, upon the ground that no substantial constitutional question is directly involved,” the court wrote in a Tuesday ruling. “Motion for a stay dismissed as academic.”
Trump has been under a gag order since October. The gag order prohibits the former president from publicly talking about the court’s staff. The order followed Trump targeting both the judge presiding over his case and her chief law clerk through Truth Social posts.
