Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, D, blasted Rep. Peter Stauber, R-Minn., for celebrating more than $1 billion in federal funds coming to their state for an infrastructure bill he voted against. Stauber’s tweet celebrated the funding making its way to Duluth, Minnesota. An anti-vax former pro hockey player whose Minnesota rink took forgiven COVID loans, Stauber was among the 126 House Republicans who signed a Supreme Court brief seeking to overturn Biden’s win. Stauber last appeared here in 2020 when he took a commercial flight after being exposed to multiple COVID positive people, including Trump.
Oh boy. I hate to talk politics when there’s good news to celebrate but this is too brazen to ignore.
Mr. Stauber voted against every screw, steel beam, and concrete pier in this bridge.
Luckily @POTUS worked with Stauber’s colleagues and got it done without him.
