The Messenger reports:
A federal judge on Friday approved Special Jack Smith’s request to start prepping written jury questionnaires ahead of next year’s scheduled trial of Donald Trump in the Florida classified documents case.
In a paperless order, U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon ordered the two parties, by Feb. 28, to “meaningfully confer and file a joint jury questionnaire for the Court’s consideration, clearly denoting any areas of agreement and disagreement.”
The brief written order hands a small victory to Smith, who cited the high-profile nature of the case in a Tuesday filing proposing initial steps in the jury selection process.
