Last month House Speaker Mike Johnson vowed to release “all 44,000 hours” of riot surveillance footage, adding that the faces of the rioters will be blurred for their “privacy.” Today he apologized to the cult because the blurring is taking so long:
As you know, we have to blur some of the faces of persons who participated in the events of that day because we don’t want them to be retaliated against and to be charged by the DOJ, and to have other concerns and problems. So, that’s a slow process to get it done; we’re working steadily on it. We’ve hired additional personnel to do that. But all of those tapes ultimately will be out so everybody can see them and draw their own conclusions.
Trump yesterday filed a defense brief claiming that the rioters were actually undercover federal agents.

This is an admission that Speaker Mike Johnson is destroying evidence of people committing crimes. If they were just strolling through the Rotunda (à la peaceful tourists), there would be no need to blur their faces. These are people breaking things and smearing feces on walls.
