House GOP Demands DOJ Docs On Trump Investigation

The Messenger reports:

Republican leaders of the House Judiciary Committee on Thursday sent a letter to Special Counsel Jack Smith requesting detailed information about the Justice Department’s investigation of former President Donald Trump.

In the letter, obtained by The Messenger, Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, and Rep. Andy Biggs, R-Ariz., wrote that they have “significant concerns” about Smith’s “commitment to evenhanded justice.”

The lawmakers, both close allies of Trump, requested all documents and communications between Smith’s team and the offices of Attorney General Merrick Garland and Deputy Attorney General Lisa Monaco.
