Eric Swalwell: McCarthy Will Be Gone By “End Of Year”

Rep. Eric Swalwell, D-Calif., is predicting Republicans will move to expel Rep. Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., after George Santos got the boot from Congress. “With Santos gone, you’re hearing it here first: the next GOP member to leave Congress” will be Kevin McCarthy, Swalwell posted to X.

“No way he stays. A guy who kidney punches his colleagues from behind is too afraid to serve out a full term with them. I bet he’s gone by end of year. What say you?”

The “kidney punch” refers to an incident last month when Rep. Tim Burchett, R-Tenn., accused McCarthy of sharply elbowing him from behind while he was conducting an interview.
