Casey DeSantis called Friday on mothers and grandmothers in the coalition “Mamas for DeSantis” to “participate” in the Iowa caucus in January. Only Iowans can participate in the caucus, which will be the first presidential primary contest in the 2024 election cycle.
Casey DeSantis later attempted to clarify her comments on social media, saying that while voting in the Iowa caucus is “limited to registered voters in Iowa,” others can “participate” by volunteer at the caucus in “support” of her husband — and can “register” to do so on his campaign web site.
