Phil Williams reports for Nashville’s NBC affiliate:
Where did Congressman Andy Ogles get $320,000 that he claims to have loaned his campaign? As NewsChannel 5 Investigates followed the money involving Middle Tennessee’s newest member of Congress, that investigation turned up even more questions about the Maury County Republican.
Now in Congress, NewsChannel 5 Investigates discovered that Ogles has not disclosed any substantial investments. He doesn’t even report having a savings account. Missing from Ogles’ report is any reference to any bank accounts or other assets of more than a thousand dollars, which must be disclosed.
It’s a transparency issue that’s been highlighted by the George Santos case. Santos did it, the indictment says, “for the purpose of making the committee appear more financially sound than it was.”

Oh wow. Rep. Andy Ogles (R), who was recently caught lying about nearly his entire career, is refusing to say what he did with nearly $25,000 he raised for a child burial garden. He raised the funds using a photo of a stillborn baby & then didn’t build it. https://t.co/D3EdC8KtcS

GOP Rep Ogles admits he misrepresented his college studies. He did not get a degree in international relations, and he is not an “economist.” He took one economics course that he barely passed. https://t.co/1g2BHm8Wz5
