Elon Musk faced a huge backlash online Wednesday evening after he agreed with an anti-Semitic post made on X. Musk replied to the tweet, stating, “You have said the actual truth.” Journalists, political insiders, and pundits immediately began denouncing the world’s richest man.
CNN’s Jake Tapper noted that Musks’ comments come amid a time of rising anti-Semitism and violence against Jews.
The frontpage story of the Drudge Report featured a tweet by journalist Matthew Yglesias who claimed Musk is saying “Jews are getting what we deserve for being liberals.” Yglesias also poked at the relationship between Musk and the Anti-Defamation League who last month resumed advertising on Twitter.
